Fritz European Fry House

Who doesn’t love French fries? To find an operation with luscious scents and a noticeable lineup late one night in Vancouver made me recognize that I must check out the Fritz. And oh boy, I was puttin’ on the ritz afterwards! The fries are properly crisped twice — topped onto cones if you want them on their own — or if you’re really hungry, piled high into styrofoam containers when ordered as poutine. Here, you can customize your order to whatever your tastes desire.
I had chilli and bacon piled in mine. By the time I returned to my hotel, the curds was sufficiently melted. The gravy and sauce oozed throughout and the custom scents had me devouring the medium-sized order easily. While some purists will consider me a heathen for changing the traditional dish around, I could not help myself. I wanted a treat after nearly starving myself during FEV. While food outlets were nearby, none were really to my liking or expensive. This location is not known to be cheap street level. McDonald’s and Subway are here, but I lost faith in both as decent food. I’d rather walk to Granville and Davie for where these two operations are, and run laps around Stanley Park to burn the calories off.
