Oak Bay Beach Hotel will be showing the 1982 film, A Christmas Story, starring Peter Billingsley. Tickets are $24 per person plus tax.

Included in the ticket price are snacks of mini-pulled turkey sliders with brie cheese, cranberry aioli and yam fries, house-made popcorn and chocolate dipped peppermint chocolate cake for dessert. Drinks are seperate.

Also starring in this flick are Donna Reed, Lionel Barrymore, Henry Travers, Thomas Mitchell, and Ward Bond.

 

Community Hanukkah Celebration for Peaceful Co-Existence

This family friendly celebration will feature songs and sing-along with the Victoria Jewish Community Choir and music and dancing with The Klez band.

There will also be a vegetarian potluck so please bring a vegetarian dish to share, with ingredients noted, and your own plates and cutlery.

The event will be raising funds for the Yad be-Yad (“Hand in Hand”) Jewish-Arab School in Jerusalem.
