Can this fact be true? Is “Zut alors” a cuss word? Well, that’s beside the point, but an exclamation must be used to let folks know that L’Authentique Poutine & Burger is back! And the best part of all is that their new truck is sporting the colours of the Quebec flag. One just has to excuse the wood panelling that’s added to the design too.

Although this food truck operation took longer to get going again, and I can certainly understand the Winter break. Although the Inuit do consume fatty meats to help them stay warm, the Victorians (let alone the folks in the Western Communities) do not need to.

J: Shanghai Noodles is located between two of my ol’ stomping grounds. Blanshard Community and George Jay Elementary. Between the two, one I liked and the other…well you know how it goes. It was to be a toss up for what direction this experience would take. I was hoping the coin didn’t fall over the George Jay line.

And once again Ed had to listen (or covertly tune me out) as I rambled on about the places I’d been, the people I knew and Heather, the girl I kissed.

E: Aw, isn’t young love grand? But we are not here to recount another version of “My Girl.”

Has anything changed over at the franchise operated Pho Hoa? Very little and its sub-par service seems to have gotten worse. The waitresses may have to be hailed like a cab when a small party of hungry hockey fans become rabid. In this instance, only one person from my group managed to order while the rest of the gang were ignored. There was not even an attempt to ask if we were ready.

Very rarely will I say a sushi place is a dud. At Sam’s Sushi, not only was the rice tasting flat, but the late night service was terrible. I arrived about 45 minutes before closing and while the other couple here was able to take their time to finish their meal, I was being rushed.

Getting on "Top" of Seattle’s Finest?

I’ve been to Portland and had their best confectionery delight. In my opinion, the variety Voodoo Doughnuts offers is beyond compare. In Seattle, Top Pot is considered the best of Seattle because of its many endorsements. I had to challenge this claim.

I’ve had plenty of doughnuts from at least four different countries (two being from Asia) to know parts of what’s available. Even Homer might be eying me with envy, but I digress. In what I tasted early morning, when the product is at its freshest. I can certainly say they do rank up there in satisfaction. The quality can certainly be tasted.
